The victim of the shooting near Dorrigo last month has been identified as 40-year-old Darren Broadman.

Detective Acting Inspector Peter O'Reilly addressed the media this morning regarding the incident which occurred on the afternoon of Thursday the 18th of October. 


The body of a Mr Broadman was found in the tray of a ute in Dundurrabin after emergency services were attending a crash. 

 

Police allege Mr Broadman was known to the accused, and the weapon believed to be involved has not been located.

43-year-old Hohepa Peatai Ben was arrested and charged with the murder, and had his first appearance before Coffs Harbour Local Court this morning.

He did not appear, and was refused bail to reappear January 22, 2019.
