A child has been taken to hospital this afternoon after suffering heat exhaustion, as the heatwave continues across Australia.

The 10-year-old boy from Cabramatta West was taken to Liverpool Hospital.

He, along with two girls, almost fainted while playing in a park.

According to 7 News, the incident happened at a holiday camp where the children were overcome with heat exhaustion after playing outside for two hours.
