The Central Coast has experienced a significant increase in crime over the two year period between January 2015 and December 2016.

According to the latest Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research quarterly report released today, the region experienced a significant increase in five of the 17 major offences.

This includes domestic assault (up 21.5 percent) indecent assault (up 21.6 percent), break and enter dwelling which rose almost 13 percentage points, steal from a motor vehicle up just over 18 percent AND malicious damage to property which rose 8.3 percent.

We've bucked the state trend with crime across most of NSW either remaining stable or having fallen over the same period.
