Three people have been hospitalised after a car rammed through two shops in Melbourne's north east on Thursday morning.

Police and emergency services were called to Northcote Plaze about 11am to reports that a car had driven into the Suzanne Grae clothing store.

Authorities have confirmed that paramedics are treating six pedestrians who were all struck by the vehicle, with non-life-threatening injuries.

"The driver of the vehicle, who also sustained non-life-threatening injuries, is currently assisting police at the scene with their enquiries," a police spokesperson said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman confirmed that a man and a woman are in a stable condition after being treated at the scene, while another man was being treated for upper body injuries remains in a serious but stable condition.

The area has been partially evacuated and cleared for structural assessment.

The incident isn't being treated as deliberate.

Meantime, the driver is assisting Police with their inquiries.
