For years, eating placenta after childbirth was seen as a thing only eccentric mothers did and even when talked about now is often followed by an “ewwww” reaction.
But each day, more and more woman are actually choosing to consume their placenta in new ways like capsules or berry smoothies, not for spiritual reasons, but for the multitude of health benefits.
Speaking with Heidi, Xavier & Ryan this week, Mel from Pure Placentas explained why the placenta actually provides mothers with “everything they need” to recover after childbirth, including mental health benefits.
