Buildings Evacuated After Gas Leak In Woollahra

Fire crews are currently responding to a gas leak in Woollahra, with evacuations taking place in nearby buildings.

The incident is unfolding on the corner of Oxford Street and Jersey Road, with more than 30 people evacuated from the Light Brigade pub and two other buildings at the scene.

There are 25 firefighters on the scene, with the cause of the leak believed to be some workers rupturing a gas main underground.

The gas company is also in attendance, with Fire and Rescue NSW advising that people avoid the area as traffic is blocked.
