Perth FIFO worker Brock Hewitt has been missing since Monday January 7.
The 29-year-old told family and friends he was going fishing but has not been heard from since.
Brock’s family say the behaviour is very out of character for the ex-soldier who suffers from PTSD.
Terina Hewitt, Brock’s sister is pleading that the public keep an eye out for the man that she loves ‘more than you could ever imagine'.
When speaking with 7 News Brock’s parents Jan and Rick had one clear message.
“Please come home. We need you and we love you.”
A Facebook group ‘Help us find Brock Hewitt’ has been created to boost the search.
Police say this week there have been multiple reported sightings of Brock in Townsville.
Brock is about 175cm tall with a slim build and fair skin with the word ‘HEWITT’ tattooed on his left arm.
A number of veterans are conducting a search between Townsville and Cairns, putting up the posters and asking locals for intel.
