Time is running out to get your ticket(s) to Sunrise Way’s major fundraising event of the year on Saturday June 15. Comedy royalty Fiona O’Loughlin will be the special guest on the night – so it’s one not to be missed!
Sunrise Way CEO Wendy Agar said people can book their tickets through www.toowoombatickets.com.au.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to our local community who continue to get behind us and the work we do, and we’re asking for that support once again,” she said.
“I’d encourage people to book their tickets now. It should be a wonderful night!”
Sunrise Way is committed to helping individuals living with addiction to develop skills and strategies to maintain sobriety.
Ms Agar said Fiona O’Loughlin is one of the most in demand comedians in the country, and will be lending some star power to the Sunrise Way fundraising dinner next month.
A late starter with an award-winning career of almost 15 years, Fiona performs to packed houses in venues and festivals across the globe. As well as a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, Fiona is an accomplished writer, TV presenter and media personality.
“Many people will know Fiona from when she won the title of Queen of the Jungle in last year’s Network Ten program I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. If you watched that, you’d see just why we invited Fiona to be our special guest at our fundraiser next month,” Ms Agar said.
“In recent years, Fiona has overcome a well-documented ‘battle with the bottle’. Her openness and honesty about her battle while on that show, and through her other appearances, really cuts through. Her battle, like the other aspects of her life, has also become ‘material’ for her stand-up.
“We find with our events that people really respond to this kind of honesty. As with previous events, we’ll also have graduates telling their story on the night.”
The Sunrise Way fundraiser will be held on Saturday June 15 at Rumours International. Tickets are only $145 and can be purchased through www.toowoombatickets.com.au.
