Beyond Blue To Get $34 Million Funding Boost From Government

Leading mental health organisation Beyond Blue will get a $34 million funding boost from the federal government to help people battling depression and anxiety.

The money will be used to break down barriers preventing people from speaking up and reduce stigma related to mental health issues.

"Beyond Blue is one of the most trusted organisations in Australia and has been providing support for and raising community awareness of, depression, anxiety and suicide since 2000," Health Minister Greg Hunt said in a statement on Monday.
