American singer-songwriter, Bebe Rexha has blasted to the top of the charts worldwide with the hit ‘Meant To Be’ featuring country duo Florida Georgia Line but what we really didn’t know is the story behind how she was discovered.
Speaking with Hughesy and Kate Rexha revealed the initial rejection she got with one of her first ever songs that she wrote for herself, “I wrote it for myself to shop around to record labels and none of the record labels thought it was a hit,”
With that rejection, the 28-year-old explained how she decided to give her song up “I might as well give this song and hopefully it will put me on the map in the music business.”
This track is now known as ‘The Monster’ by Eminem featuring Rihanna which went on to becoming a Grammy Award winning track.
