Prepare for heart failure across the country because it’s just been announced that THE RuPaul’s Drag Race will be getting an Australian series!
TV Tonight has this morning confirmed that ITV Studios Australia has secured the rights to the format.
“Drag Race has moved on to being a show that captures the imagination of everyone, no matter their age or gender and we will commence discussing with potential broadcast and streaming partners shortly,” said ITV’s David Mott.
“It will be one of the most talked about and noisy formats next year.”
Although we don’t know who will be hosting the show, or what network/streaming service it will be on, we do know that it will hit our screens in 2020!
Australia already has a few ties to the hit show, with local queen Courtney Act coming in as a rummer up of Season 6, while RuPaul is literally married to an Australian.
