Aussie Swimmer Chloe McCardel has set a World Record by swimming across the English Channel 44 times!

Chloe spoke to Bec, Cosi and Lehmo about the culmination of 12 years, 450 hours in the Channel, and more than 1.5 million strokes worth of hard work.

Bec had only one question... "Why?"

Chloe shared with us what drove her to achieve such an enormous record.

"It's the Mecca, it's where the best go to test themselves. It's a really challenging swim, so it's where people go to prove themselves at a master's level or an elite level."

She also shared some of the risks she has overcome along the way:

"I ended up in the ICU in Canterbury with severe hypothermia, and swimming induced pulmonary edema at the same time - that's when fluid leaks from you hear into your lungs."
