Aussie renters say loud you-know-what is a bigger problem for them than unpaid rent.

The realestate.com.au 2019 Renters Report has been released, exploring the attitudes, behaviours and concerns young Australian renters have.

The survey looked into 3,500 respondents nationally – aged between 18-39.

And as anyone who has lived in a share house might attest - comes challenges such as managing relationship dynamics.

Friendships beware; 44% of respondents moved in with a friend they already knew, but close to 40% ended up questioning that decision after living together.

14% of respondents had also started a romantic relationship with a housemate, choosing to kiss and make up rather than dwell on the dishes, which was the number one cause of housemate stress (33.25%).

When it comes to first world problems, ‘loud sex’ was rated as being a bigger problem than ‘unpaid rent’, particularly by Sydneysiders.
