Forget babysitting, pet sitting is now a thing and we aren’t even mad about it.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a dog person or a cat person or even a guinea pig person you can now sit for any type of pet, the best part? You can even set your own rates.

Mad Paws, among many other newly founded pet sitting websites, now allow you to look after other Aussie’s pets nationwide with some sitters racking up an extra thousand dollars a month on top of what they already earn.

Um, Europe 2020 here we come.

According to Mad Paws, pet sitters can earn anywhere between $30 to $100 per night in the Sydney CBD area.

The Daily Telegraph reported that a Melbourne couple, Tegan Stait and Jarred Aubert, have used pet sitting website, Mindahome.com.au, to save $30,000 for a house deposit by caring for pets while living rent-free!

That’s some serious coin just for feeding, watering and occasionally walking an animal that doesn’t even talk back when it’s bedtime!
