Ash London Discusses Alarming Period Poverty Stats & How We Can Help

Believe it or not, period poverty is still hugely prevalent throughout Australia, which is why Bec & Ash London are jumping on board Kickstart for Kids as ambassadors for Period Poverty!

Bec, Cosi & Lehmo invited Ash on the show to chat about the issue and what we can do to help young women obtain access to the sanitary products they need to get by.

According to Ash, 26 percent of young girls in South Australia miss school as a result of not having access to the sanitary products they need, which is 26 percent too many.

Ash discusses the upcoming drive to raise funds for over 2000 young women in need, why it's important we raise these issues now and why we need to include young men in these conversations.

We also discuss the ongoing stigma around discussing periods and why we need to create a culture where periods and discussion of sanitary products is normalised.
