Today is International Women's Day and to celebrate we spoke to some amazing local women who have done some inspiring things.

SHAI AGER - At just 21 years of age she is making some amazing changes in the wildlife conservation world. She started The Agile Project and is helping to save the Trinity Beach Wallabies.

DR AMANDA ROBERTS - Has used her medical profession to help the homeless by helping to fund WOW - Wheels of wellness to ensure the local homeless population get the medical attention they need.

MOLLY STEER - At just 9 years of age Molly was so moved by what she seen in a documentary about what plastic is doing to the environment that she then went to individual business to convince them ditch the straws she then launched Straw No More and has now convinced hundreds of business to go straw free. On top of all that she has even given a Ted talk.

SARAH SEXTON - Sarah has been through her fair share of health issues after being diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and undergoing a double lung transplant on top of all that she has become a advocate for organ donation and helps others with CF through her blog breathing borrowed air.

GERLINDA STELLA - She is a local stylist who is used to making women look and feel good, she bravely shares her story of when she had to escape a domestic violence situation.
