We’ll never get over an update from Adelaide Zoo notifying us of the birth of new baby animals, so it should come as no surprised that we are WEEPING at this new footage introducing us to the zoo’s latest additions.

In early March, Asian Small-Clawed Otters Kalaya and Bao welcomed their very first pups!

Adelaide Zoo Keeper Mary Johnson says, “New babies always make for a particularly exciting time for keepers and these adorable little pups are certainly no exception.”

Just look at them!

As Asian Small-Clawed Otters are born with their eyes shut, they rely heavily on their parents to navigate life during their first few weeks.

"We have been monitoring them from afar to let the new family have some private bonding time. Visitors won't be able to see them just yet, but we are happy to say the two little pups are thriving," Mary continued.

"These little ones are about seven-weeks old now, and as they continue to grow and open their eyes we think they might pop out into their habitat in the coming weeks."

And just look at the proud parents, so in love!

These new pups are the first litter of Otters born at Adelaide Zoo since 2003 and they've stolen our hearts!
