A Neopets App Is Coming, So You Can Relive Your Childhood

I’m not even going to ask if you all remember Neopets, because of course you do. 

It’s probably been a long time since you even gave your old Neopets any thought, but you’ll be able to forgive yourself for forgetting because they’re coming back in a new app!

The Neopets website IS still going, but with the likes of Pokémon Go, Marvel Contest Of Champions and other games, apps are THE thing these days. 

So it makes sense that this treasure is venturing into app territory. 

The news of the app, called, Neopets Legends and Letters, was announced at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Thus far, everyone’s saying the app is going to be a cross between Neopets and Scrabble, with lots of puzzle gameplay in it, too. 

The game will be a mix of “Neopets lore, a puzzle game mechanic, and battles,” and Scrabble-like games, according to Neopets CEO, David Lord. 

A new site will also be launched alongside the app, which will in turn let us play a tonne of the mini-games on our phones. 

Users won’t be able to play the game with the same Neopets they have on their browser account, but a lot of the key features from the site will be on the app, like customising accessories and dressing your Neopet in whatever you like!

The game is set to be released in October 2018, and it will be available for both iOS and Android.
