This ANZAC Day is going to be like no other in more than 75 years. Given there’ll be no marches, no wreath laying, no crowds and no public service.

Paying our respects this ANZAC Day is even more important when it comes to honouring the 2 million Australians who have served this nation since 1901, and the more than 102,000 men and women who paid the supreme sacrifice. This year also marks the 75th Anniversary of the End of the Second World War. More than 1 million Australians enlisted from a population of just 7 million. 40,000 were killed; 30,000 were taken Prisoner of War.

Jim Kerr was enlisted when he was just 15. He spent three-and-a-half years in Japanese Prisoner-of-War camps on the Burma-Thailand Railroad. Jim is still going strong at the age 95 and as you can hear he is a wonderful man that believes in mate ship and Australia
