40 Years Of The Fox - Here’s It Was Like Back In 1995!
Let's time travel...
We’re celebrating an incredible 40 years with you, Melbourne. It all started when we played George Benson’s ‘Breezin’ on a Sunday afternoon in 1980, giving away millions of dollars over the years and then all the way to being in lockdown together. It’s an incredible achievement and we wanted to celebrate by taking a look at what it was like in 1995.
Back in 1995, our Premier was Jeff Kennett.
The number one song in the world was 'Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio.
The Fox FM drive show was hosted by Tony Martin & Mick Molloy.
The top fashion trends were all about slip dresses, overalls & those chunky shoes.
The most popular TV show was 'Seinfeld'. Like it had any competition back then...
The highest grossing movie was 'Die Hard: With A Vengeance'.
The richest person in Australia was Kerry Packer.
The teams going head to head in the AFL Grand Final were Geelong & Carlton.
