A massive reward has been offered for information about the high-profile cold case murder of Gold Coaster Gennadi Bernovski.

The 41-year-old former KGB colonel was killed at Benowa Waters more than 18 years ago.

Police announced on Thursday a $250,000 reward is up for grabs for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person and people responsible.

Detective Inspector Marc Hogan said they were determined to bring them to justice.

“Police have never given up searching for answers on this case and we remain determined to find those responsible for Mr Bernovski’s death,” Detective Inspector Hogan said.

“We believe someone has the piece of information we need to finally solve this case and we are urging them to come forward and speak with police.

Mr Bernovski was shot and killed outside of his home on Sir Bruce Small Boulevard at around 9.30pm on July 25, 2000.
