Carrie Bickmore Reveals She Vomited The First Time She Met Her Boyfriend’s Mum!

Meeting the parents can be a pretty daunting experience, but poor Carrie Bickmore may have topped the cake on bad first impressions! 

Speaking on her new radio show Carrie & Tommy, Carrie recalled the night she met her boyfriend’s mum.  

“I was dating this guy and I hadn’t met his mum because she lived overseas."

They had a fun night out with friends, “I hadn’t had dinner” and wasn’t used to drinking more than a few drinks. 

Her boyfriend suggested they go home as his mum had arrived back in Aus, however, he decided to “take the scenic route home”, to be romantic “stopping to look at the moon”, but in actuality the drive made Carrie more and more nauseous. 

By the time they got home at 11pm, Carrie recalled, “I don’t even make it to the front door before I am on all fours barfing on the lawn… and I’m never sick.” 

Of course hearing all the noise, this is when the mum came outside. 

“She hears the ruckus outside and there I am saying ‘hi’. 

"She had to bring me inside, take my clothes off, put me in the shower, and then put me to bed. We never discussed it again. 

“I vomited on the front lawn and that’s how we said hello.”
