Townsville father and daughter duo, Dale and Madison Dunston will put family bragging rights on the line when they both join the starting grid in the Aussie Racing Car Series at the Watpac Townsville 400.
Making her debut in the Aussie Racing Series last year, Madison has gone from strength to strength in 2017 and will be hitting speeds of over 200kmph at Reid Park in her Townsville Autogroup Toyota Aurion. Madison is one of only four women in the Aussie Racing Series and currently sits 19th on the Series Points leader board, with an 11th place finish in Tasmania.
“It’s not every day you get to race dad in front of friends and family during the Supercars weekend,” Madison said. “The ultimate goal for me is to eventually race in the Supercars category.”
Madison’s dad, Dale Dunston, has been racing in cars, karts and speedway for over 30 years and says it will be a special experience when the pair join the Watpac Townsville 400 track together. “This is Maddie’s time to shine,” he said.
Tickets to the Watpac Townsville 400 are available via Ticketek.
