We all know school holidays can be a trying time for families so we thought we would do some research to keep your kids busy for cheap and FREE! Some of these activities are fun for parents and adults too so get ready to have some fun and tired kiddies.
- Great Barrier Reef Aquarium Reef HQ: Monday 2 January—Friday 20 January — Magic workshops, Hide and seek, arts and crafts and the mermaids are back! The cost of entry is free for kids under 5 years old and $14 for children 5—16 years old! Visit their website for more information. Reef HQ are currently running a competition with family passes as prizes.
- Perc Tucker National Gallery: Sunday 18 December — Free Family Fun Day there are lots of art making activities for the kids with all materials provided at the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery. (Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)
- Hot Rock Adventure: 9, 11 and 13 January — Kids climbing clinics are on these school holidays. The kids will learn basic climbing techniques and build confidence. Age restrictions are 5—18 years old at $20 p/p with the class running for 1.5 hrs. Bookings Essential call to book on (07) 4725 1451.
