Party goers are being reminded to follow the rules, or risk losing their drinks.
Hundreds of litres of alcohol have been tipped out in a new crackdown on public drinking in the CBD.
The police response coming after evidence of public urination and defecation, as well as other problems were ongoing and escalating recently.
Local authorities launched Operation Summer Charlie last week and since starting Police have tipped out 200 litres of alcohol, and they'll keep it going as long as it’s needed.
The work done in the operation has been praised by local business leaders, with hope that it continues.
There have even been calls for government to develop a long term solution.
