The F6 Freeway Toll Is Soon Going To Be The Most Expensive In Sydney

It’s no secret that Sydney is turning into the ‘Toll State’ and soon it’s going to set us back even more.

Get ready for the days when we will have to wait for payday until we can actually afford to go for a drive.

It is expected that in 2024, a trip from Sydney's northern beaches to the south coast will cost about $20 each way… yes, $40 return.

According to leaked New South Wales Cabinet documents seen by the ABC and Fairfax, it is believed that just the F6 extension will have a $10 toll.

Making that around 440 cents p/km.

This means that just a one-way trip from Sydney airport to Waterfall will set drivers back by $10 and if you commute from Wollongong to Sydney you’re looking at $100 a week.

Sadly, it looks like this could be a recurring thing… the report states that the tolls we pay today (around $8), including Western Harbour Tunnel and the Northern Beaches, will rise to a $10 toll in 2024 and 2025.

Truck drivers will pay about $30 a trip.
