A mother has been robbed and assaulted by a man while visiting her son's grave at a Sydney cemetery.
The 52-year-old was at Riverstone Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon when a man confronted her and stole her handbag from her car, NSW Police said.
Police are appealing for public assistance after a woman was allegedly robbed of a handbag while at a cemetery in Sydney’s Northwest yesterday. About 3.40pm on Tuesday (19 June 2018), a 52-year-old woman was at Riverstone Cemetery on Cemetery Road, Riverstone when a man approached her and removed a handbag from her vehicle. After a short struggle, during which the man pushed the woman, he fled in a red-coloured hatchback car. Officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command have commenced an investigation and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the alleged robbery to contact them. Police wish to speak to a man who may be able to assist them. He is described as being 30 to 35-year-old, between 170 and 175cm tall with a medium build and was last seen wearing a grey hat and Khaki pants.
