Emergency services attended West Hoxton just after 3pm following the emergency landing of a light plane.
It is believed that the aircraft, a Piper Archer 3, had taken off from Bankstown airport and was returning there after experiencing engine trouble.
The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing, luckily avoiding a number of houses and landing in a reserve where it hit a fence and a small number of trees.
There were two people on board, with one suffering only minor injury.
