A man has died after being pulled unconscious from the surf this afternoon at Collaroy beach.
Emergency services were called to the rock pool area just before 4.30pm today after the man, in his 70s, was found unconscious in the water.
Members of the public had commenced CPR on the man before lifesavers arrived.
NSW Ambulance paramedics and police attended, but the man died on the scene.
An investigation is underway regarding his death.
According to NSW Police, initial inquiries suggest there were no suspicious circumstances to his death.
