A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after cops caught him driving over the limit yesterday with his 10-year-old child on his lap.
At roughly 3.40pm, police allegedly saw the man driving while the 10-year-old on his lap held the steering wheel.
His eight-year-old daughter was also in the backseat of the car.
He has also been charged with dangerous driving and resisting arrest after allegedly failing to stop when police flagged the car.
He was taken to the Redfern Police Station and blew a reading of 0.248 - almost five times the legal limit.
The man is due to appear in court on Monday 16 October.
