A man has been charged with several offences after he was allegedly filmed driving in a dangerous manner at Gillieston Heights, in NSW's Central Hunter region.
Just after 11.35am yesterday, a member of the public filmed a Nissan Skyline GTR allegedly driving in a dangerous manner along Cessnock Road at Gillieston Heights.
Police became aware of the incident and officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command commenced inquiries.
About 12.40pm, the vehicle was located and stopped on Maitland Road at Cessnock.
The driver was arrested and taken to Cessnock Hospital to undergo blood and urine testing.
The 39-year-old man was then taken to Cessnock Police Station where he was charged with drive manner dangerous, negligent driving, overtake to left of vehicle, and not keep left of dividing line.
He was given bail to appear at Kurri Kurri Local Court on 11 January 2018.
Vision of the incident was shared to a local Facebook community amid multiple calls for dangerous drivers to "wake up".
"We are a week out from Christmas and you w****r put so many people in harms way!!" wrote one.
Another said, "we need this idiot off the road", while a third wrote: "Stupid".
