Lunar Park Sydney has revealed plans to dish out $20 million to transform itself into a world-class theme park. Here’s what we can expect!
Peter Hearne, Luna Park CEO, said they want to take Luna Park to “a new level of excitement while keeping in touch with the site’s 1930s heritage."
He continues, “this is a very exciting initiative for us. The Luna Park we will create will be a high-quality, world class, safe, recreational precinct for the people of Sydney. It will be family friendly but with plenty of thrills.
“Luna Park is an icon of Sydney, part of the fabric of NSW, but it needs more investment to make the rides more modern and exciting and to keep it competitive with other amusement parks. It is a major tourist destination for the people of Sydney, and this investment will continue to ensure it stays that way.”
Brand new rides will be build under the new investment, and they will be among some of the best in the world, utilising virtual reality and other technology that will take it to the next level. The upgraded facilities will also deliver better quality food and an improved retail experience.
