It's not going to feel much like winter next Wednesday.
A burst of warmth is heading Sydney's way, with an expected top of 28 degrees!
While we definitely don't condone chucking a sickie, you have less than a week to come up with an acceptable reason to ditch work for the beach.
Surely a 28 degree day in winter is good enough excuse - that's about 10 degrees above the norm!
Meteorologist from Weatherzone Tom Hoff says its due to a front approaching the region.
"We've got a lot of warm air being drawn down head of that, that's being drawn down from the interior."
Bad news is, it won't hang around for the weekend.
"We'll see temperatures cooling down again to around 23 degrees or so from Thursday into Friday."
