Thousands of people wishing to catch a flight today - one of the busiest days of the year - have been left waiting as lines spilled out the doors of one of Sydney's domestic terminals.
Intended travellers took to their social media accounts this morning to share the chaos which was Virgin Australia's domestic terminal.
Even though Virgin airlines had some of their customers waiting over an hour to simply drop off their baggage, the airline said that there was "no disruption" to its services.
"Today is one of the busiest days of the year for travellers returning from holidays which has resulted in delays at our check-in counters at Sydney Airport this morning," a spokesperson for the airline told Daily Mail Australia.
Although, for many this wasn't enough.
The spokesperson went on and left some tips for future travellers: to help avoid this from happening to you, be sure to check-in online, arrive for your flight early and listen to the announcements made in the terminal.
