If you were planning to celebrate Mardi Gras in Sydney this weekend, we have some bad news.
It’s gonna be bucketing down with rain all weekend.
Parts of NSW will experience more than a month’s worth of rainfall in the next week, with chances of thunderstorms and flash flooding.
While a poncho or raincoat is not the essence of Mardi Gras fashion, it’s probably a smart idea to pack one of the two if you’re out celebrating.
On Saturday, Sydney is expecting 25mm of rainfall with winds in the morning that will get a bit lighter in the evening. There is a 95% chance of rain. On Sunday, we’re looking at similar weather but the rain will be heavier.
Have a great Mardi Gras weekend, and stay dry!
