Two brothers to face court

Two brothers have faced Mildura Magistrate's Court on a multitude of charges including false imprisonment and kidnapping.

The alleged victim 33-year-old man with an acquired brain injury went to the accused men Leon and Shaun Morgan's home to look for his wallet which he believed was stolen.

They reportedly did not let the victim leave slapping him and forcing him into his car before dropping him home and taking his vehicle.

The victim was persuaded to report the incident to police by his father who described him as terrified.


Mildura Rural City Council's draft energy management plan for the next five years has been released.

The Draft Energy Management Plan 2017-2021 sets out Council's long-term management of electricity, gas and fuel consumption and is now on public exhibition.

Councillor for Environmental Sustainability Anthony Cirillo says the plan is a vital resource.


Young artists across Sunraysia will have the chance to showcase their work to the community with Mildura Rural City Council's FReeZA Youth Art Prize.

Entries are open to those aged between 12 and 25 who currently live, study or work in the Mildura Rural City Council municipality and close July 28th.

The submitted works are set to go on exhibition at the Mildura Visitor Information Centre from the 5th of August.
