The Government has launched a 124 million dollar Community Child Care Fund - with local members throwing their support behind the initiative.
The funds will focus on improving child care participation and increasing the availability of places in disadvantaged or regional communities.
The grants are also for regional and remote centres - in the hopes the funds will increase the availability of places available.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must be an approved provider of an approved child care service, seeking funding for an approved childcare service operating in a priority area, or seeking funding for an approved child care service currently in receipt of funding under the department's Community Support Program.
Member for Mallee Andrew Broad is encouraging locals to get behind the scheme and apply.
