SIX - Kingaroy Heritage Museum

Formerly the Kingaroy Power House (1925-1952), the Kingaroy Heritage Museum showcases the history of the Kingaroy region under the themes of 'People, Power and Peanuts'.

The early development of town and region is illustrated by informative displays and a large collection of photos. The peanut exhibition area contains machinery and photos of the early development of the peanut industry, including prototypes of national significance, invented by local farmers.

The Museum is open from 9.00am to 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays  and 10.00am to 2.00pm on the weekends and public holidays (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day when the complex is closed). Admission is free.

FOUR - Pottique Lavender Farm

For all things Lavender you have to check out Pottique Lavender Farm. 

The Lavender Farm has the largest lavender shop in Australia. Their warehouse is bursting with lavender products including dried lavender, oil, soap, jams, chutney, liqueur along with french country style home wares and antiques.

While you are there, make sure you try their famous lavender scones!

THREE - Crane Wines & BB

Crane Wines is a small, visitor friendly, family owned and operated boutique winery, B&B accommodation and vineyard. The grand old colonial homestead, and the quaint rustic cellar door are perched high on the Booie Range, with breathtaking views east over the valley. Cranes is situated just 10 kms from Kingaroy in the beautiful South Burnett region of South East Queensland (map).

TWO -  Kingaroy Art Gallery

The Kingaroy Art gallery is housed in what was once the council chambers building.  The Gallery showcases the talents of artists and crafts people of the South Burnett region.

ONE -  Kingaroy Observatory

Star gazing at Kingaroy’s Observatory.

Originally established in Maidenwell on August 16, 2004, more than 20,000 have viewed the Universe up close with host and astronomer James Barclay who has over 60years experience in Science.

The observatory is the largest, self-funded Astro Tourism business in Queensland.
