Hanwood Roundabout Completion Date Pushed Back
This is not a drill
The Area News
It’s been a long time coming, but the anticipated completion date for the $1.6 million construction project at the Thorne Road and Kidman Way intersection has finally arrived… and yet the project is nowhere near completed.
The wrap-up date was set for this month, however the Griffith City Council has announced that the project now won’t be finished until October this year.
This means that drivers will have to endure more months of single-lane, dust-covered, 40km/hr travel through the construction site, when we all just really want to be cruising along like this guy…
According to Griffith City Council’s Director of Infrastructure and Operations Phil King, the works are experiencing a delay with the relocation of power poles.
(We wanted to include a construction pun, but we’re still working on it…)
