Bottles of expensive liquor and cigarettes were the main target of a string of break ins and thefts from local businesses across Wagga and surrounding towns over January and February.
Wagga Police arrested and charged 2 Ashmont men, aged 20 and 29, with multiple counts of break and enter, after raiding 3 addresses in Buna and Wewak Streets yesterday.
They’re also searching for a third offender, who has been identified.
It’s alleged officers seized a large amount of evidence, including a grim reaper mask, balaclava and gloves, which was seen on CCTV at some of the crime scenes.
Crime Manager Darren Cloake says local security companies aided in the investigation.
