NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has spoken out to confirm her earlier statement that the Liberals will field a candidate in the upcoming Wagga by-election, and that it won’t be a three-cornered contest against the Nationals.

Ms Berejiklian confirmed the Coalition’s arrangements to The Daily Advertiser, after reports of meetings in Sydney and telephone polling in the Wagga electorate this week.

Labor have already announced Dan Hayes as their candidate for the seat, and the Shooters Fishers and Farmers say they'll announce theirs in the coming days, but have denied reports they've approached Wagga Councillor Paul Funnell to run for them.
