It looks like Labor isn’t wasting any time since their massive election win last weekend.
An election commitment to provide $10 million to convert the rooftop at the Art Gallery of WA into an open-air cinema and event space is well and truly a done deal, according to reports.
As you can see from the artist rendition above, there's more than enough room to make this a reality.
It’s expected that the development will be completed in time for the gallery’s 125th birthday, which happens in 2020.
Apparently, the rooftop of the Art Gallery was left as an open space back when the building opened, way back in 1979. Some 40 years later, it looks like that vision will be realised.
And, with a view like this, why wouldn’t you want to go there for a flick? Flash back to Adam Lambert on our World Famous Rooftop. Best night ever!
