Fires Deliberately Lit At Perth Train Station Cause $500,000 Damage

Fighters battled flames for two hours

Police have taken a 30-year-old man into custody for questioning after several fires broke out at the Wellington Street Train Station in the early hours of the morning, believed to have been deliberately lit.

Arson squads battled flames for two hours after the blaze broke out just after 3am this morning, resulting in a $500,000 damage bill.

Although the main entrance to the train station has been closed, no train services have been impacted and so, it is business as usual for morning commuters.
