A Perth family is raising money to cover the ongoing medical costs associated with bringing their daughter home.
Denishar Woods was placed on life support back in March after almost dying from an electric shock, when she touched a garden tap at a home in Beldon, Yahoo News reports.
It was feared the 11-year-old would not recover, however a turnaround has since seen Denishar able to use a wheelchair.
While her family raised over $13,000 via a GoFundMe page, friends say more financial support is needed to cover the Denishar’s medical’s costs, prompting a fresh campaign.
“The family needs a hospital bed so Denishar can go home now,” they explain.
“She doesn’t want to go to another hospital when PMH closes in 2 weeks. She wants to go home.
“Her family want her home. Secondly they need support to do all the organising required to get her equipment and support.”
