Dozens Of Dogs Left In Hot Cars

A warning to pet owners

Dozens Of Dogs Left In Hot Cars

Too many dogs have been left in hot cars, with the RSPCA responding to 39 reports in the past two weeks.

Just yesterday, a puppy was rescued from a car in Bullcreek, after concerned shoppers noticed the pup inside for around an hour.

Only last month, a mastiff was pulled out of a hot car in Balga, but sadly, it couldn't be saved.

As the temperature climbs to 36 degrees today, the RSCPA is encouraging anyone who sees a dog left in a car to call inspectors immediately on 9209 9300.

The advice is to remain calm, and avoid standing too close to the car because that can distress the animal further.
