European Tourist Busted With Stolen Razor Blades

A European tourist has been charged after he allegedly stole $10,000 worth of razors from Hunter and North Coast shopping centres.

The 26 year old man from Lithuania was stopped by police on the Pacific Highway at Forster yesterday, after they noticed he was driving an unregistered car.

Officers searched the vehicle, uncovering more than 270 packages of razors and blades.

It's claimed he stole them from supermarkets at Jesmond, Mayfield, Warabrook, Fletcher, Beresfield, Thornton, Raymond Terrace, Greenhills, Rutherford, Taree and Port Macquarie.

He's been granted bail, however his passport has been seized.

He'll appear in Forster Local Court on February 22.
