Winter is about to become a distant memory, with the Hunter to enjoy a run of warm, sunny weather next week.
Temperatures are forecast to hit the 30's on Tuesday and Wednesday in most suburbs.
It'll be warmest on Wednesday, when the BOM is predicting Wallsend, Toronto and Singleton to reach 33 degrees.
It's set to climb to 34 degrees at Bulahdelah.
Temps will also be warm on the coast, reaching 29 degrees at Newcastle.
But the burst of hot weather won't last long, with the mercury plummeting 12 degrees in some suburbs when a cool change arrives on Wednesday afternoon.
Newcastle's top temp is forecast to reach just 18 degrees on Thursday.
