Boxing Day Stabbing in Toronto

A 43-year-old man has been charged over an early morning stabbing in Toronto. 

Emergency services were called to Shelley Street at about 5:20am on Monday, following reports of an assault between two men, aged 41 and 43. 

It's alleged the younger man was stabbed during the Boxing Day altercation.

Paramedics took the victim to the John Hunter where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police then arrested a 43-year-old Quirindi man, who was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. 

He'll front Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday.
