$100,000 Found In Car Near Raymond Terrace

Police have found more than $100,000 in cash after a wallet fell from the roof of a car near Raymond Terrace.

Officers from Strike Force Raptor saw the wallet fall off a Holden Calais as it turned onto the Pacific Highway at Karuah at around 6:40pm Monday.

They stopped to collect the wallet before later catching up with the driver.

Police say the 26 year old man appeared to be under the influence.

The huge amount of cash, as well as Ice, cannabis and a knife were allegedly found in the car.

The man from Modanville, near Lismore was charged with deal with proceeds of crime, two counts of possess prohibited drug, custody of knife in public place, and various traffic offences.

He was granted strict conditional bail and will face Raymond Terrace Local Court on 16 April.
