Rain Predicted This Weekend For Some Drought-Stricken Areas
Hopefully some relief for farmers
In some fantastic news, it appears as though there may be a bit of relief headed for some Aussie farmers, with some much-needed rain predicted for the weekend.
While it's nowhere near the amount that the farmers need, it's a welcome break from an incredibly dry winter - and indeed, the driest start to a year since 1965.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted 10-15mm in south-east Queensland and northern NSW.
However, BoM has also said that this rain will be patchy.
In the Tamworth and Armidale area, 5-10mm are expected from Friday.
Most of the rain is expected on Saturday, with up to 50mm predicted for Narrabri, Inverell and Moree.
